I [...] Haven’t done much knitting lately because I have been very busy trying to clean out my basement so that I can turn it into a fibre arts studio. then I will have more time and room to get back into weaving, spinning, quilting, fabric and yarn dyeing and sewing. It’s now in the final stages, [...] There´s not really a lot to talk about this week. No new things have come in, and I don’t have any new knitting to show you. I have mainly been knitting on a Shetland lace shawl, which I am quite enjoying, but it doesn’t look like much of anything worth taking a picture of. It [...] Well, Halloween is over for another year. Now is a good time to get started on those presents and decorations for the Christmas season. I am sure everyone is already planning all the scarves, hats, mittens and socks for this year’s presents. But how about some knitted decorations? There are the Dickensian Party Mice, Jultomtar, [...] I have added a couple of new pages to the website. One has links to sites that have free knitting patterns. I will add to these as I find more sites. I have used patterns from these sites for several of my projects. They are actually cute little baby/toddler tops/cardi’s, but I have knit just the smallest size of them. The patterns I have used are all available for purchase at Ravelry.com for about 5 [...] Over the last few weeks we’ve been getting in several different lace weight yarns. I have also been knitting with some. This is a scarf I am making with Baby Kid Extra Print and Nirvana held together: I am using the ubiquitous fan and feather pattern, and it knits up beautifully on large needles.
